Account Executive
Location Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, Toronto and Quebec
Reports to Regional VP Sales
Department Sales
Primary Function The position is responsible for finding opportunities in the network communications solutions field, responding to RFP’s presenting solutions to new and existing customers and closing new business.
Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and qualify sales leads
  • Meet with clients to determine and analyze needs, address, propose, and execute solutions
  • Preparation and presentation of solutions and sales proposals
  • Completion of sales cycle (Close)
  • Engage in new business development and funnel management activities
  • Develop and execute appropriate sales strategies to meet sales and revenue objectives
  • Demonstrate value through solution selling practices to uncover customer needs
  • Propose solutions that leverage the full range of Connex’s product portfolio
  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with key internal partners to effectively address customer requirement
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player

  • Previous telecom experience and demonstrated use of solution selling concepts
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, at decision maker levels
  • Advanced level of MS Office and PC proficiency
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
  • Demonstrated competency in determining and analyzing customer needs and recommending solutions in a competitive sales environment
  • Demonstrated business acumen to determine client business direction, telecom requirements and develop relationships

Experience:
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience selling IP based voice and communications solutions
  • Sound knowledge of IP Telephony solutions and applications such as UC
  • A minimum of 5 years of applicable experience selling IP based communications solutions
  • Experience selling Avaya IP Office desirable
  • Experience selling Nortel BCM system desirable
  • Experience with Open Source solutions desirable and a plus
  • Experience with selling LAN switches and routers desirable
  • Experience selling full suite of communications solutions from network services, infrastructure, IP Telephony, Lan/Wan technologies and Internet.
  • Sound understanding of SIP based technology and industry direction.

Business Development Administrator
Location Richmond Hill, Ontario
Reports to National Manager – Business Development
Department Sales
Primary Function This position exists to assist the Business Development Executives (BDEs) and the National Business Development Manager (NBDM) in the research of contact information on raw leads provided by the NBDM and lists provided by AEs. This position also inputs data entry information into the BD database called “Sandbox”.
Responsibilities
  • Researches the internet, company databases and (company purchased) Hoovers for contact information. This information includes the proper company name, address, telephone number, number of employees and sometimes the contact title/ name.
  • Creates clear and concise excel spreadsheets with cold-calling information for the NBDM and the BDEs
  • Enters suspect and prospect information post cold-calling results into the BD database Sandbox
Requirements
  • Energetic with research capabilities able to focus on the basics of arranging well-qualified executive meetings
  • Proficient and skilled in Microsoft outlook, excel and the internet
  • Ability to complete tasks in an organized and timely manner
